Understanding MeRT: Magnetic eResonance Therapy
At the Brain Treatment Center Fort Worth, we know that no two brains are exactly alike—each one operates with its own unique patterns and rhythms. That’s the foundation of Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy, or MeRT®. This advanced treatment uses sophisticated brainwave analysis to pinpoint regions of the brain that may be underperforming or not properly communicating.
Once these areas are identified, a customized treatment plan is created to help restore optimal neural activity. Using specialized, non-invasive equipment, MeRT gently stimulates specific brain regions to encourage healthier brain function. This innovative therapy is completely drug-free, non-surgical, and tailored to support each individual’s unique neurological needs.

Why MeRT Stands Out: A Personalized and Innovative Approach to Brain Treatment
What sets MeRT (Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy) apart from traditional treatments like standard TMS? The answer lies in its highly customized, gentle, and drug-free approach to enhancing brain function. Here’s what makes MeRT a breakthrough in brain therapy at the Brain Treatment Center Fort Worth:
A Personalized Path to Healing:
MeRT is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Each treatment plan is crafted based on an individual’s unique brainwave patterns and clinical symptoms. Because every brain is different, each therapy protocol is uniquely tailored for maximum effectiveness.
Non-Invasive and Gentle:
There’s no surgery, no needles, and no discomfort. MeRT uses only low-frequency magnetic pulses to gently stimulate and guide underactive areas of the brain, encouraging more balanced communication.
Completely Drug-Free:
MeRT doesn’t rely on medication or anesthesia. It’s a natural, non-pharmacological approach designed to support the brain’s own healing capabilities without introducing chemicals into the body.
FDA-Cleared Technology:
The equipment used in MeRT therapy has received FDA clearance, and several treatment applications are also FDA-approved, giving patients confidence in both the safety and credibility of the process.

Frank tells his MeRT Story…
In the third week, something happened. The family was driving around sight-seeing when they realized that they were getting lost in the California desert. Mary and Frank began to argue, and right in the midst of it, the moment they had waited six years for finally came. “I remember he said a seven-word sentence basically to the effect of ‘I want you two to stop fighting.’ And it shocked me so much that I almost stopped breathing,” Frank recounts. “I looked at my wife and said ‘Do you realize what just happened? He just said a seven-word sentence.’ I had tears in my eyes, and I was happy at the same time. He was so upset that it pushed these words through.”
From there, Frankie’s progress snowballed. They returned home after only a month, but the difference between the child who arrived in California and the one who left was striking. They had taken a video of Frankie on the plane when they started the journey, “and he’s just making baby babble,” Frank says.
We have another video of him on the plane coming back. And he looks out the window and says, ‘Goodbye California, see you soon.’ This was a nonverbal kid, 30 days earlier. And his feet are flat on the ground.”
Doctors said Frankie would continue to improve even without regular MeRT albeit a bit slower. Today, he is 11 years old, verbal, and attends a public school. He tells Frank stories about times when he wanted to speak but couldn’t.
