Support for Brain Health & Cognitive Function with Personalized EEG-guided TMS (MeRT®) Treatment
Memory problems and changes in thinking can be more than “normal aging.” If memory loss or cognitive decline begins to interfere with daily life, it may be a sign of early dementia. And getting help sooner can make a meaningful difference in quality of life and independence.
At Brain Treatment Fort Worth, we combine advanced diagnostics with individualized care to explore what’s happening in the brain and support better cognitive function. Our approach is tailored to your brain’s unique patterns and focused on empowering you with clarity, insight, and hope.
When Is Memory Loss a Concern?
It’s normal to forget an occasional name, misplace keys, or blank on a word now and then. But when memory issues begin affecting:
- everyday tasks
- safety (e.g., getting lost in familiar places)
- conversations or decision-making
- remembering recent events
…it may signal something more serious than typical aging. These symptoms can be early indicators of dementia or cognitive decline, not just “senior moments,” and deserve thoughtful evaluation.
Early detection and intervention can help support cognitive abilities, maintain independence, and give you and your loved ones a clearer plan for the future.
Understanding Memory Loss, Cognitive Decline, and Dementia
Memory Loss vs. Dementia
- Normal age-related memory changes may involve occasional forgetfulness that doesn’t disrupt daily life.
- Concerning memory loss can include frequent confusion, trouble following conversations, or repeating questions.
- Dementia is not a specific disease, but a term for a group of symptoms—including memory loss, judgment problems, and impaired ability to carry out daily tasks—that worsen over time.
Common forms of dementia include:
- Alzheimer’s disease (the most common cause)
- Vascular dementia
- Lewy body dementia
- Frontotemporal dementia
Cognitive Decline
Cognitive decline refers to noticeable changes in thinking skills (memory, reasoning, attention, or problem-solving) that exceed what’s expected with normal aging. Some people experience mild cognitive impairment (MCI), which can be an early stage of dementia or a stand-alone condition.
Why Early Support Matters
When memory loss or cognitive decline has already been identified, getting the right kind of support can make a meaningful difference.
Timely, personalized brain-based care may help:
- support remaining cognitive function
- address symptoms that interfere with daily life
- promote healthier brain communication
- provide reassurance and guidance for patients and caregivers
At Brain Treatment Fort Worth, we use advanced brain mapping to better understand how the brain functions and personalize care for those experiencing memory or cognitive challenges.

At Brain Treatment Center Fort Worth, we use MeRT®, a highly personalized EEG-guided rTMS, to support cognitive function and brain communication.
What Is MeRT?
MeRT stands for Magnetic e-Resonance Therapy. It combines:
- Advanced brain mapping (qEEG) to identify areas of disrupted brainwave activity

- Personalized treatment plans designed to improve neural communication and support cognitive function
What MeRT Can Do
MeRT is:
- Non-invasive
- Drug-free
- Tailored to you
It may help promote:
- better memory and recall

Your brain deserves the same care as the rest of your health. If you or a loved one has noticed memory challenges or cognitive changes that are affecting daily life, the first step is a free consultation with our New Patient Coordinator.
She’ll take the time to:
- listen to your concerns
- explain how diagnostics and treatment work
